In 2016 delegates of ISHA’s Annual Scientific Meeting travelled to San Francisco in the USA. The two and a half day meeting encompassed over 60 research podium presentations, 150 research poster presentations, 18 instructional course lectures, technical exhibits and award presentations. On top of that, Presidential Guest Speaker Jaap Suermondt provided a presentation on the role of technology in healthcare, while Michael Longaker, Head of the Standford Stem Cell Institute, took part as Scientific Programme Guest Speaker. The physiotherapy concurrent session benefitted from a special keynote address from Shirley Sahrmann. Attendees also enjoyed hands-on individualised clinical tutorial sessions with expert faculty, presidential debates, floor discussions, keynotes, panel discussions, trainee presentations and sponsored lunchtime sessions.
